Whatzit Wednesday

I'm off of Wicked Wednesdays until I become inspired, so I thought I'd bring up my turn for a Whatzit:

These can be found near my home
And other places you may roam
Kudos to who gotzit
Now tell me Whatzit

Hankies? Flags? Dinner napkins? Doll dresses?

My first thought was very clear.
I, also, think doll clothes, my dear.

Fabric store?

Scarves!

It will surprise me if it is scarves, because the firs one appears to have a seam in it. But, then, Noe Noe is very bright!

Not hankies, nor flags
nor dresses of dolls.
Not fabric from a store
nor scarves in a hall.
One of these is closer than others
Can we find without much bother?

Not napkins for dinner
either my friends
What I am thinking is
You are all slipping ;-)

rugs!

J9 said...

rugs it is not, Noe Noe
the first few guesses
were closer by far

OK I'm gonna go with bandanas.

Would you go to the mall
to buy a parasol?
I am not the kind of fella
To carry an umbrella.
This is not a tease.
Could it be one of these?

Gordon said...

And, if it is not that,
Maybe it's some kind of hat.

Gordon said...

How could I be so stupid? It hurts!
Of course! These are colorful skirts.

J9 said...

Gordon is right as rain
skirts indeed remain
But what kind of skirts, be specific
to solve this whatzit terrific!

indian or squaredancing skirts.

National costume skirts?

Gordon said...

If I could give the colors a chance,
They could be for a mexican hat dance.
Likelier than that, though. They are square (or line dancing), guessed by Noe Noe.

J9 said...

Pauline is closest by far
Now from which country? So far,
Mexico is a no
Nor Native American
Or East Indian

Gordon said...

J9, you're beginning to be a pain.
So, now, I guess it must be Spain.

J9 said...

No Not Spain
Don't sprain your brain
The native language
is not shared by others
check the skirt on the left
for unique design
You might find your answer divine!

Now, I must get out my voodoo,
Or, maybe go in search of a zulu!
Maybe, I should look for a goatsman,
or maybe a camel riding canteen totesman.
Is it a Peruvian llama shearer,
or a pigmy. Which is nearer?
Maybe a alpine mountain tilt,
or could it be from a Scottish kilt?
You have my imagination perplext,
So, my dear, what is next?
I love you just the way you are!
Can you see my consternation, from afar?

J9 said...

Gordon has thrown down
too many countries to count
So I will save you all
and drop the ball
Scotland was close enough for mine
These are Irish dancers all in a line!

Your Whatzit theme was very girly,
For someone like me, oh so burly!
But, I will always join your race,
Even if it's doilies or lace.
I know that you would not stammer,
If I featured a chainsaw or a hammer.
Thanks for sharing your time,
The journey was sublime.

I have absolutely no idea. Those aprons they make for the bottles of dish soap?
