ABC Wednesday - "A" is for Airplane

I decided to join this meme in it's fifth round now. I have seen some of the folks I follow participate, and thought it would be fun too! The rest of the folks can be found on the ABC Wednesday Blog.

This is the Spirit of St. Louis shot while of tour of The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. I was tempted to include and astronaut for this historic week, but without this airplane, the adventurous spirit it took to imagine the trans Atlantic flight of Charles Lindbergh, and the technology developed for this aircraft, there may not have been astronauts at all.
