NanU recommended this topic, and I couldn't love it more! Barry Fraser was indeed an explorer of life, and it is that attitude I take forward. He was always reflecting on his town, his family, his dog/friend. He was looking forward while examining the past. He was well written and there were posts I could not wait to read. So much so, that I would stay up late, playing whatzit games with Gordon and checking for Barry's posts so that I could read more of his stories. Barry was encouraging of my photography, and I think a little in love with the idea of red hair and freckles (I know that Linda has these same features). When I think of Barry and Linda I can't help but smile.
Take some time today to appreciate your loves, your life, and your good fortune. I know I will

Yes, I will miss him. He had 733 followers, yet he commented on all my post.
He will be missed. I may not know Barry personally but I do appreciate his visit on my blog and leaving a comment. A very good hearted person. Thanks for sharing!

For me he was really the soul of the Shootout. Amazing how he always took time to make personal, insightful comments, really communicated, every week he could.
I am so proud to be part of this tribute day to Barry and Linda. They were the heart of FSO. I had to change my Queenmothermamaw blog to Daylily for security reasons and wanted to introduce to daylily.

He was an amazing person and he will live on in each of us who remember him x
Barry, with his own appreciation for his loves, life and good fortune, was a terrific role model. A great legacy.
Hello, old friend. I feel like reaching through the screen and giving you a kiss on the cheek. It is good to visit, again. Barry, is deserving of any respect I can show him. Drop me a line sometime.
We never forget Barry. He indeed left a smile
I agree with Nan, Barry was indeed the soul of FSO. It will be very different knowing there will be no encouraging comment from Barry. I don't think any of us will ever forget him.
I agree with your words. we need to appreciate what we have now. great tribute!
