My Town Shoot Out - Circles

This week's shoot out theme is courtesy of Kerry of Ed and Reub.
"Doughnuts, tires, plums, and spots,

Drops of water, polka dots.
Cat’s eyes, toad’s skin
Pearls and pebbles, a golden ring.
Fawn’s back, Dalmatian paw
Windows, wheels, an old buzz saw.
Traffic circles, prayer circles,
Crop circles, semicircles
Winner’s circles.
Running in circles,
Breathing in circles.
These will all do
Just fine too.
Sit in your chair and take one shot
Or go outside and take a lot.
Circles."
I encourage you to go and see everyone's contributions here or here.

I know I am late on this week, but I couldn't resist waiting as I had a field trip with school to SFMOMA. It was a good half day in the city, and there was plenty to shoot just in the surrounding area.

Looking into the entrance of SFMOMA:

Looking up from the Third Floor to the Fourth:

The Fifth Floor catwalk and glass ceiling:

One of the wals leading up to the ceiling:

This was a great exibit:

One of the Chairs was also a Circle:

The Atrium from outside:

A stained glass window at St. Patrick's down the street:

And finally detail form above the door at The Hearst Building:

Happy Weekend All!

lucky girl, this is a beautiful building. there has been a lot of cross talk about circles - being sacrid, being feminine, but in architecture they are just plain beautiful - thank you for waiting and bringing us the best. I love the chair...

Great post well worth waiting for. Like Ginger I enjoyed the picture of that amazing chair.

Not only is it an interesting circular design, it also looks comfortable.

Absolutely worth waiting for. I'm glad you didn't skip the shoot. Wonderful pictures. I wonder if there are any straight lines in the SFMOMA.

Elegant, spectacular, breath-taking photography from one of my favorite art museums anywhere. Thank you SO much for these shots; they are all just beautiful. The circles on the wall dance up and down in a cool way when you scroll up and down past them.

Beautiful circle collection, not to mention the creative photography.

Have a great week. You want some snow? We got more on Saturday and more is on the way. We seldom get snow. I think part of Canada has shifted south. Hear that Barry and Elaine? Come get your property.
