It's my guitar which I long to play!
She even managed a rhyming guess
Let's just see who wins next!
Guess the item pictured here
It is a piece you can hear
We have them in the Pacific Northwest
Can we see who guesses best?

I think that what I've seen,
Might just be a tamboreen,
Or a music maker of some sort.
Tomorrow, I'll do a full report.
I just got home from fishing late.
Sleep comes first, while whatzit waits.
You're not there to prod me on.
Maybe tomorrow, if you're not gone.
Since I started doing that work on the blog for Patty, my name comes up Town Blogger Team on my comments about half of the time. I haven't quite figured out what causes it yet. I had much rather be Gordon. I will get to the bottom of it.
I'm thinking now, your whatzit, recently born,
Might even be some type of horn.
No it is not an instrument, as I work with them on a weekly basis in New Jersey, and it has depth on the left, hmmm and will think on it some more...
My initial thought was
Some kind of plate
Then I noticed the left
And said, "Don't tempt fate."
It's wooden and lacqured
The stripes throw me off
I'll say it's a hockey stick
Please do not cough!
I am still drawn to an intrument
Until you share a hint.
Maybe into our didcussion
Will come a piece of indian percussion.
I see Gordon was in first
But his guess is not worst
He is on to something here
as it is something you can hear
Audrey's guess of a wooden plate
would not be with the fates
Her hockey stick made me smile
You'll have to guess for a little while
Some would say that it may
be percussive in it's own way
It's not a kitten nor a pan.
Could it be a fancy Bodhran.
This photo must be rotated left, my friend.
The top should be the right end.
It's resting on a field of black.
Now I shall renew my attack.
I wish that I could spend the day
Enjoying this invigorating whatzit play/
Please don't think that I shirk.
Alas, I must go to work.
When I return Audrey, or mabe Chef E
Will have found the answer ahead of me.
J9, I say this before I go.
You are a very formidable foe.
While the sound of a bodhran
Makes my heart skip and
beat the answer to this
whatzit is not to be
The field of black you astutely say
is a part of the whatzit today
Is it a chair
On which to rest?
I'm LOUSY at Whatzit
But I give it my best!
One more guess
To make your heart sing
Is it a guitar
Minus the string?
A boomerang
I will also guess
Though down under is where
It would work te best
The clues I should read
Before I venture
A tamborine
Is my next guess (couldn't find a rhyme this time!)
Did you figure it out, Gordon? Your name is coming up because you have to sign out as Town Blogger Team and back in as yourself before you post.
If you are posting on the Friday shoot out site without signing in, you will come up Gordon. But, if you want to do some work on the site or add a post you will have to sign in as TBT.
I like you as Gordon, too. You should only be TBT when you are working. Heehe.
You can always check in your upper right corner and see who you are.
Hey, J9. Been missing you. Busy, busy.
Is it a plate?
No, A plate would be too easy. Nice colors for a plate, though.
Audrey is the winner today
It is my guitar, which I long to play!
YEAH! Gordon
do you see that???
I won, I won
My heart is glat (????)
However, I cannot take the credit. My niece Kerri figured it out and shared her thought with me!
Audrey, may your children's children be cursed with dragon breath!
J9, your winning string is soon to die a horrible death!
