My Town Shoot Out - Paint the town RED

Because I haven't really shot anything at all this week, and also because there are no rules, you are being treated to some images I've used already for other things as well as from the archives:

This was shot at my neighborhood park. The Boys love playing there!
A Poinsettia growing wild on a hike:
A boat at Adventure Playground, quite literally painted red:
A rose from Mothers Day at the park:
A plant that I STILL do not know the name of!
A Pomegranate split open on the walk to school:
Last but not least, my Grandmother resplendent in red, while painting the town red! This was taken many years ago, and not by me, but I like the photo and wanted to include a bit of everything here.Happy weekend all!

Your grandmother looks splendid in red.

The flowers are stunning. So bold. I tried to take a sniff but hit my nose on the monitor.

Love the pomegranate, one of my favorite fruits. Wish they were in season now.

And I adore that boat photo. Can you "adore" photos? Um? Oh well, I like it!

I forget the checker board. I play chess a lot, but I like to chill sometimes with a good old fashion game of checkers.

Every shot is just fantastic!!! I can't choose a favorite, but I keep going back to the little boat J9.
Your grandmother is lovely and her face has the look "what a nice lady". I see kindness in her eyes (that's the first thing I look at....the eyes.......).
I hope your Memorial Day and weekend is filled with much love, joy and laughter and........

the play yard boat gets my vote also. the flower you don't know the name of has a look of a gladiola - doesn't matter though it is just beautiful with no name.

As always, each and every shot is done with precision and an eye that I have grown to appreciate. The checkerboard is great...the boat, your grandmother, the pomegranite...all of them.

Hi, just stopping by for the first time, since I am a new member of the shoot out gang. Love the pomegranite photo, nice shot! Haven't eaten one of them in a long time. Very nice photos, especially the flowers, they are so close I felt as if I could smell their scent. Take care, Debby from Germany

When you are Saturday, we are already Sunday. We are one day ahead of you. Yesterday, my husband had to wake up early in the mornig to call someone in Buffalo, and it was 5pm over there.

Love your photos, that poor promegranate, what a waste. it would cost $5 here.

This is probably a bad connection, I was watching Jennifer Aniston and Kevin Coster's movie. Can't remember the title as I was multi tasking and blogging as well. Your grandma's photo reminds me of the grandma in the show. Your grand ma cuts a great figure. Kudos to her.
