My Town Shoot Out - Aged and Weathered

This week, Pauline of The Paddock suggested the topic "Aged and Weathered". I encourage you to go and see everyone's contributions here!
I'm digging into the archives for this week. This cross is in the Dublin Cemetery, and I really love the rust, and the design.
This Is an Elephant at the Oakland Zoo. doesn't get much more weathered than that!
Have a good weekend all!

Note that I didn't say the elephant looked aged - just weathered! ;-)

Old rusty zoo.

Oakland zoo, is it Oakland California? There is an incredible story here. A young man was a transfer passenger from some where in USA, and due for Oakland. Instead he arrived in Auckland New Zealand.

I was late posting or looking at Friday's shoot. You are right about the elephant. Good choice!

I love both these shots. The cross is beautiful and the aging on it adds to its beauty. The elephant is also a fantastic shot!

The aged celtic cross is very beautiful indeed. Getting the metal to curve into all of those circles requires skill and patience. Elephants are so dusty, it dries their skin so much. These a wonderful pictures and I am really sorry about your tree. It's a blessing no one was hurt.
Thanks for sharing.
