Blogger's Community Photo Challenge - The Great Outdoors

This week's challenge is great for me, as I prefer taking outdoor shots to nearly any other photos. To see the other entries and vote, please click on the link above!

I chose this image to reflect my love of the beach. The crashing waves, the salty air, the sand between my toes. I love it all!

Beautiful picture. It's calming, I can almost smell the bbq and hear the music on the beach.

I just love that kind of light...rare and wondrous. Makes me think God must have a flashlight.

Iasa, when I'm feeling particularly low, I like to look at my photos of the sea, and dream of the next time I will be back. It keeps me sane, and I think I need a trip there soon!

Eaglesbrother, I'm only 45 minutes from the nearest sea water, but prefer the ocean that is about 2 hours away. I don't think I could live any farther away than I do today. As an Aunt puts it - I have sand in my shoes!

B&B, and Mark,

I love these shots too, and have a difficult time capturing them well in photos, this is one of the rare occassions when I didin't klnow what I was doing, and it managed to turn out well!

You captured the sky beautifully. Great shot. I think I am going to head away from the bay and run over to the ocean side. It is only 40 minutes away.

Patty - Take me with you! Oh, and if you ever decide to run a photo workshop, let me know, I'd come to Crisfield to do that! I may get there anyway, but that would give me a good reason!

I love your photo and its header. I almost pick a photo similiar to yours, except the mountains isn't in the background. That is so cool. Thanks for stopping at my website. Nancy

Thanks Nancy, my header photo would have worked well too, but it's already my header...

Very nice. I always love to see the sun coming through clouds like that and you have really captured it beautifully. So dramatic! Nice job.

The Duchess,

Thank-you for your comments! I love that type of shot, and it isn't something I capture often.
